Let’s Party! 35 Years and Elle Decor Magazine

Drinks Please!  Elle Decor Magazine is synonymous with those fine furnishings that we buy or emulate. Market Kick-off culminated the effort by Elle Decor’s creative staff, designers and others with whom they credit for their successes as well as those who just want to say congratulations. What’s on set? The party of the season for Elle Decor Magazine at the 100,000 sq ft Sherrill Showroom. The Signature: Elle 35’s. Yes Ma’am. Gin. Add Prosecco, Strawberry Simple Syrup, garnished with a Blood Orange slice. A Market party classic and a great night for a fashion magazine to decor that sets the standard for style to us mere mortals. 

Now, the food. Rare beef crostini, mini shrimp cocktails, pimento cheese sandwiches and mini caprese bites. Couple that with two large fresh charcuterie boards. Uh huh... Salami, Prosciutto and Fig. Brie and hard cheese. Maybe a whiskey cheddar with blueberries and some sort of jam was yummy to the tummy. Apricot? 

Wait-served Prosecco gave Jamilla a two-fisting situation as the fight to the front of the line made angst; but in HPMRT party fashion, you always make friends and a friendly encounter set a New York date for Jamilla’s Apple and a new designer once I found a spot in which to post up.  

Designers, Buyers, and Press for a star-studded event for all things Elle Decor Magazine. Well, at least one star, HPMRT’s very own Mr. Howard (of the Mr. and Mrs. Howard Collection), I believe, made an appearance. I looked up and he was right there so two drinks did not make three as I opted for sobriety as my small local Press took in the room. 

However, that did not impede the turn up as party goers Casper Slided and listened to older tunes like Love Shack into the evening. Not glamourous as the point is to convene with your peers to let your hair down and celebrate as you come into town; but enjoyable and a hoot to kick off a week of workshops, buying activities and creative ideas gathered by designer hopefuls.
