As the nightmare that we all know and love can invoke the spirit of our favorite psychopath, there is a delight for those who are willing to take a trip within the craft: a block party to excite the senses, Nightmare on S. Elm Street. We want Norman Bates, Pennywise, Jason, Michael Meyers and our party's infamous villain; the most famous clawed burn in horror, Freddy Krueger.
Last year, we styled Jamilla's Apple with the likes of every demonic wonder in preparation for Greensboro's favorite castle of flame throwers and contortionists as the meeting place for our covens to know the rite of the night's magic, making new friends and the trouble that we desire to cause by night's end.
To our beloved Old Salem where we beseech the trials, preferring Moravian cookies as a testament to our beloved Churches. Then there was Lydia, the North Carolinian princess of the Jamestown ghost tale meant to terrify us youths. By the fogged bridge she lingers to the spot where she took her leave in remebrance of the day.
Now, we enter another dimension that will create a thrill in horror for those who are willing to take the experience. Cool, on the level of existence fearing the reality of where one goes with the proposition of fate. Elsewhere Museum, an artist's residency created from an old Jewish thrift, is the scene. The display of contemporary art transformed into a haunted house for adults, a gore playland.
Check out the video clip for some of THE freakiest work that I have seen in a long time. The real deal. No ghosts. No goblins. No, ghouls. But, private tours outside of general admission for group fun. A little pricey, but worth it. This is the event KILLA, no pun intended. Food trucks. Food truck festival organizers are pulling out the stops on the block from Lewis to Bain. Tickets WILL sell out so scan or contact Elsewhere Museum at once.
Priderock Management, home of Bridford Lake Apartments, is the Jamilla's Apple sponsor for this event.
